Biography
Nicolás Barguil Nicolás Antonio Barguil Cubillos (born February 2, 1984) is a Colombian public manager, consultant and politician who has served as President of the Chamber of Representatives since July 20, 2026. Born in Montería, Córdoba, Barguil holds a degree in Marketing and International Business from Sergio Arboleda University. With over 15 years of experience in the agribusiness sector, he has served as a trade representative to the National Federation of Cereal Producers. In 2022, he ran for office in the legislative elections as a candidate for the Conservative party, winning the election and being re-elected in 2026.
