Neymar da Silva Santos Junior (born ), commonly known as Neymar Jr. or simply Neymar, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward. Born in Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation.
Neymar rose from the youth academy of Santos FC, where he made his professional debut at 17. He won three consecutive Campeonato Paulistas, a Copa do Brasil, and a Copa Libertadores.
In 2013, Neymar transferred to FC Barcelona, forming the iconic "MSN" trident with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. He later joined Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record transfer.
