Maluma (born ) is a Colombian rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. Born and raised in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, he developed an interest in music at a young age, recording songs since age sixteen. Selling more than 18 million records, Maluma is one of the best-selling Latin music artists.
Maluma released his debut album "Magia" in 2012, but his breakthrough came with "Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy" (2015), which led to successful collaborations with many artists. He released "F.A.M.E." in 2018, "11:11" in 2019, and "Papi Juancho" in 2020.
His single "Hawái" (remixed by The Weeknd) reached number three on the Billboard Global 200, and became the first number one single on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart. Maluma has collaborated with artists like Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and J Balvin.
In addition to music, Maluma has ventured into acting, appearing in the romantic comedy "Marry Me" alongside Jennifer Lopez and voicing a character in Disney's "Encanto".
