Biography

Jorge Mario Eastman Jorge Mario Eastman Robledo (born February 5, 1967) is a Colombian lawyer, politician, and diplomat who served as Colombian Ambassador to the Holy See under President Iván Duque from 2019 to 2022. He also served as general secretary of the presidency and deputy minister of defense for politics and international affairs. Born in Bogotá, D.C., Eastman studied law at the University of the Andes and earned his master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University. In August 2018, he was appointed Secretary General of the Presidency by President-elect Iván Duque.
