Biography
Honorio Henríquez Honorio Miguel Henríquez Pinedo (born July 24, 1971) is a Colombian lawyer, politician, and senator who has served as President of the Senate since 2026. A member of the Democratic Center party, he has held his seat since 2014. He previously served as Vice President of the Senate. Born in Santa Marta, Magdalena, he holds a law degree from the University of La Sabana. He began his career as a political advisor. In 2006, he served as an advisor to the Ministry of the Interior. He was first elected senator in 2014 and has been re-elected consecutively since then. He is known for his conciliatory tone and is one of the most veteran senators of the Democratic Center party. In 2026, he was elected president of the Senate, receiving a large majority.
