Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego (born ) is a Colombian politician serving as the President of Colombia since 2022. Born in Ciénaga de Oro, Córdoba, he is the country's first left-wing president.
Petro was previously a senator and mayor of Bogotá. His election marked a historic shift in Colombian politics.
