Carlos Valderrama (born ) is a Colombian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Nicknamed "El Pibe" (The Kid), he is widely considered one of the greatest players in Colombian history.
Valderrama was named South American Footballer of the Year in 1987, 1990, and 1994, and was inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame in Colombia in 1998. He was named one of the 125 Greatest Living Footballers by Pelé in 2004.
He represented Colombia at three FIFA World Cups (1990, 1994, and 1998) and earned 111 caps for his country.
