Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago (born November 26, 1992), known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. He emerged during the commercial development of Latin trap in the 2010s and has also recorded reggaeton and Latin hip hop. His music frequently draws on street life, relationships and his imprisonment, while incorporating samples and interpolations of earlier hip hop, reggaeton and popular songs. Gazmey began recording as a teenager and initially distributed his music online.
